The thrill a bike ride feels is figuratively synonymous with being on top of the world. The quickly passing sceneries, the whooshing feel of the wind, and the wild freedom it all brings are things anyone would love to experience. However, you really cannot have a bike ride without a bike, can you? – and not just any bike, a great bike.

With this in mind, it is pretty easy to end up getting ”just a bike” with the myriads of brands out there. However, certain brands genuinely stand out from the rest – one such is the CR&S Motorcycle Company.

CR&S History

”CR&S,” an acronym for ”Café racers & Superbikes,” is a Milan-based bike company, popularly known for its luxury and uniqueness. Founded in the early ”90s by Robert Crepaldi, it has the vision of bringing back the vintage era of the ”60s – ”70s bike to modern-day.

In 1993, John Britten and Robert Crepaldi decided to go into a collaboration of manufacturing motorbikes. John Britten, who had begun working on bikes from the early age of 13, had just designed his first bike called the ”AERO D-ZERO.” It had a record top speed of 234 kph in 1987, and during speed trials in 1988 and 1990, it won races with a speed of 242kph and 247 kph, respectively.

The CR&S Britten V1000, as the company was named, raced in various motorsports competitions, with some of the then famous corporations like Stephen Briggs, Nangi Dones amidst several others. After the death of John Britten in 1995, the company stopped competing in races and decided to work on their first single-cylinder road bike with Race.

Following this, the company became engaged and got involved in lots of events – the manufacture of prototypes and the release of new bikes inclusive. Recently, Robert Crepaldi, under his new company, Record Motor Cycles, developed a V8-motorcycle named ”A tribute to John Britten,” which is currently set to meet a 400km/h mark.
